About

God saw all that he had made, and it was very good…
Genesis 1:31 NIV

Thank you for visiting my website.  I hope you enjoy my photographs of God’s wonderful creations!

I’ve been interested in photography since I was a child, but it didn’t become a serious pursuit until recently.  It began when I took photos to illustrate my cards for my Christian greeting card ministry, Hope for a Broken World.   These cards express God’s message of hope, encouragement and redemption for those who are suffering from broken lives, broken dreams and broken hearts due to their own bad choices or the choices of loved ones.

I then started taking photographs of the urban wildlife, plant life and insects in my backyard and local parks.  I’ve always loved animals of every kind, and I have always fed the birds and squirrels (along with the occasional rat, opossum and raccoon) in my backyard.  My family enjoyed the photos and suggested that others would enjoy them, too.  God then inspired me to offer my photos for sale.  He even told me what to call my new venture – Divine Inspiration Photography.

By feeding, watching and listening to the variety of birds that fill my yard, I’ve learned a great deal about their behavior and habits.  In addition to this first hand knowledge, I’ve also done research to learn more about the animals, insects and plants that I have photographed.  When I looked at each photograph and thought about what I’ve learned about the subject, I realized that these creations can offer us great insight and inspiration.  Therefore with each photograph, I have included a card with a scripture and a description of what the subject can teach us about God and how he wants us to live our lives.

Through my photos I seek to glorify God and his beautiful creations.  You can view my photos in my galleries.  All of the photos in the Main Gallery are available for purchase If you would like to buy a framed print of any of my pictures, simply click on the Store button.  There you will find a link to my store inside my Hope for a Broken World website.  Or if you live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, visit us at one of the local art and craft fairs.  (See the Art and Craft Fairs page to find out where we’ll be.)

I couldn’t have undertaken this endeavor without the support and encouragement of my husband.  He helped design and build my display, he attends the art and craft fairs with me and he helps me with the hundreds of details and decisions that go into starting and running a business.  And occasionally he even takes pictures!  Our son also helps out.  He is my website “tech guy.”

I hope my pictures make you smile and celebrate the beauty of God’s creations.  I’d love to hear from you.  Click on the Contact page and send me an email.

Thank you again for visiting my website.
